"A fine example of gilt work, this pewter corkscrew is a reproduction of an 18th Century model. The brush fitted to the end of the corkscrew was used at the time to remove the debris of the wax that was used to seal the bottle. It may now be used to dust the label, shoulders and neck of the bottle."
